Fifth Parallel is a London, UK based rock band. Blending sounds from multiple eras, Fifth Parallel creates a unique sonic landscape - melding the realms of Progressive, Classic, Modern & Hard Rock with interweavings of acoustic folkery.
Fifth Parallel is composed of four seasoned musicians with decades of experience between them. Some of it more or less conventional – “moonlighting” in one of Prog Magazine’s “Best New Bands” , late night rotation on Canadian radio, appearances in Jesus Christ Superstar. But some of it less so: smoke-filled dungeon bars and concert hall-sized wedding shindigs in the ex-Soviet bloc, playing for Ukrainian helicopter pilots in Kabul ... plus a Blue Peter badge for performing on the TV show as a youngster.
Fifth Parallel’s members have combined forces to deliver something special – something personal. All four are writers, so the band offers a canvas on which all merge their diverse personal and musical backgrounds and influences to generate innovative fusions instrumentally and lyrically. Fifth Parallel’s debut digital EP demonstrates the resulting combination of stylistic range and coherence in the band’s music – a blend of polished complexity and raw energy to deliver a sound that feels both fresh and timeless. The simultaneously released video for the song “Definitive Infinities” gives a glimpse into the group’s distinctive visual character – a character realised in full in live performances, which is when the fun really begins ...
